The Big Issue- Official Site - was set up in 1991 to give homeless people the chance to make an income. It campaigns on behalf of homeless people and highlights the major social issues of the day. It allows homeless people to voice their views and opinions.

Cancer Research Campaign- Official Site -  was founded in 1923 and each year we build on the fundraising and scientific achievements of the year before. We are getting bigger and better every year.

CAFOD - (Catholic Agency For Overseas Development) is a major British charity that has been fighting third world poverty since 1962. We believe that all human beings have a right to dignity and respect and that the world's resources are a gift to be shared by all men and women, whatever their race, nationality or religion.

CARE  For The Family -  is a mass-membership charity and our aims can be summarised as: declaring Christian Truth and demonstrating Christ's compassion. We undertake this by campaigning, providing resources, undertaking caring work and bringing Christian insight and experience to matters of public policy, education and practical caring initiatives.  Also part of CARE is:-

Children's Society - concentrates its resources on tackling the root causes of the problems these children and young people face. 

Christian Aid works in over 60 countries helping people, regardless of religion or race, to improve their own lives and tackle the causes of poverty and injustice.

Computers For Charity - Accepts donations of redundant computers, and passes them on tp church groups and charities.  Computers for Charity is a non-profitmaking organisation whose aim is to promote access to, and use of, Information Technology by community groups.  We achieve our aim by recycling computer systems donated by industry thereby helping to close the loop and reduce waste. We also build new systems to your own specifications using quality components.

Fund for the Replacement of Animals in Medical Experiments- Official Site - FRAME considers that the current scale of live animal experimentation is unacceptable and should not be allowed to continue.

National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children - (NSPCC) is the UK's leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children. The Open Churches Trust - that seeks to keep UK churches open for visitors - Lord Lloyd-Webber started and funded The Open Churches Trust in 1994. Its sole purpose was to try to persuade Parochial Church Councils of grade 1 places of worship, from any faith, to change from locking their places of worship, except for services, and open them in order to allow more general access. Each PCC approached is asked to determine to what extent its place of worship can be opened each week with an attendant present.

The Princes Trust - helps 14-30 year olds to develop confidence, learn new skills and get into work.

The Samaritans - is a registered charity based in the UK and Republic of Ireland that provides confidential emotional support to any person who is suicidal or despairing; and that increases public awareness of issues around suicide and depression.

Terence Higgins Trust  - is the leading HIV & AIDS charity in the UK and the largest in Europe. Established in 1982, it was the first charity to be set up in response to the HIV epidemic and has been at the forefront if the fight against HIV & AIDS ever since.
