Children & Young People

Children and young people are important to us at St Mark’s and we aim to provide the best for them. We have a large, committed group of leaders and lots of fun activities - however old you are.

Sunday Morning Groups

Our Sunday morning groups help our children grow in their relationships with each other and God. Everyone begins together in the Old Vicarage, playing games - both indoors and out, doing crafts, and catching up with friends. Then we split into age groups to look at the Bible and apply it to our lives. For the last 20 minutes we meet altogether for a time of worship, before walking down to church.

We meet at 10.30 am: (all except the first Sunday of the month, when the entire church family meets at the church for an all-age service). There is a crèche (for babies and young children aged 0 to 2 years) in the back of Church.  The following sub-groups, all meet together for worship at the Old Vicarage on Vicarage Road.  We call this big group SOS, and then divide up into various smaller groups: Scramblers (for children aged 2 to 4 years); Climbers (for children at infant school); Explorers (for children at junior school); Pathfinders (for 11-14 year olds).
